And now a "Good-bye" and "Cheerio" from OZ! I do hope that you have had some beach weather! This week we have had a 41 and a couple of 30's. Next week it will be 37 on Monday and then in the low 30's. I will have three young children to entertain. I am looking forward to my Victor holiday. Andrew and Jenny will do 130km of the "Tour Down Under" on Friday. May you go in peace from here to your loved ones and have lots of interesting topics to talk about.
PS. I think that the incredible amount of signage is because we are like the USA and want ti sue everybody in case something goes wrong.

Was habt Ihr doch erlebt! Ja, es waere schoen gewesen ohne die Hitze. Now I go on in English. I am so glad that you too were overawed by that whole experience! BUT you have been privileged to see that whole countryside looking so beautiful, which only happens AFTER rain!!! In the winters I have been there when everything looked dry and dead. The road west needs a Toyota Troop Carrier, lots of spare parts and a satelite phone. Also you must not use it after RAIN! My friend, a 50yr old, who lives at Warburton, 500km west of Uluru, needed to fly there before Christmas. Then she flew out to Alice but will drive back end of January. You need much courage for this country! She is a Linguist and has lived there in two caravans for over 20 years. People do get used to the heat and the cold after a couple of years. But not everyone. I agree that the way one can now live in luxury at Uluru, is very strange in that country. We camped twice.

Ja, dann wünschen wir Euch noch weitere wundervolle Tage, bevor wir uns dann wieder im Freistaat begegnen! Sabine scheint ja auch eine wackere Wüstenautolenkerin geworden zu sein...
